Museveni should stop
throwing small-fish under the bus for crimes he is answerable for
Wilbroad Twinamatsiko,
Director of a labor export company in Uganda named Forbes Enterprises Ltd and
former ISO operative, is under fire for human trafficking related allegations.
Museveni his boss however is not bothered.
Twinamatsiko allegedly
transported desperate Ugandan youth for jobs in UAE yet his license had been
withdrawn by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, which resulted into
their exploitation after being stranded. But the man committed all that crime
with knowledge of Museveni.
Twinamatsiko did not act on
his own. As the boss of a family that are the biggest traffickers of human
beings in the region, Museveni always has someone to take the fall for them.
They always have someone to throw under the bus.
Uganda is among the top
five countries with the highest rate of human trafficking in the world, and
among the top three to have an extremely high rate of women and children forced
into prostitution, slave labor, and hawking in the world. It is also the center
for human traffickers in the region, where victims all over East Africa depart
from.
This world record was not
achieved by Twinamatsiko who is in his early 30s. The business has flourished
overtime because the tyrant’s family profits from it. This is a very big reason
why the international community has to sanction Museveni and members of his
immediate family.
