ARCHBISHOP LWANGA ON GOOD FRIDAY REFFERED UGANDA’S LEADER AS EVIL, HE DID NOT SURVIVE THAT NIGHT!
The former Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese, Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga made his last sermon to Ugandans on Good Friday. The man of God was clearly having an epiphany moment that day, and he made his last words count.
His sermon was about the prevailing crisis in the
country:
“Easter gives us a hope of restoration and it is
the basis of our faith in God’s mighty power to bring back to life what has
been snatched by the devil." Like a
man who knew this was his last sermon in this world of the living, Bishop
Lwanga added: "Even in the midst of death, the death of a loved one, a
relative, a friend and all the consequences, there is hope for our resurrection
and restoration.”
To the super charged Museveni, the Bishop had
crossed the “red line.” It was the same “line” that other religious leaders
like Sheikh Muzaata and Sheikh Dr. Kalisa crossed. Bishop Lwanga has been
getting on Museveni's nerves for quite some time now, warranting a warning way
back in 2008.
The fact is, Museveni's sensitivity and paranoia
have hit hysterical levels. When Bishop Lwanga made reference to "God’s
mighty power to bring back to life what has been snatched by the devil,"
Museveni might have taken this literally, understanding that the cleric meant
to say all those the dictator had killed would come back to haunt him.
Bishop Lwanga was found dead the next day in his
residennce in Lubaga.
This marks a change of gear in Museveni's killing
appetite for critical religious leaders. He has been known to target firery
Muslim clerics, who he has despatched in big numbers. Catholic clerics, be on
the look out for this lurking angel of death.
Exclusive info we have from SFC is that it is this
security organ under Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba that killed Archbishop
Cyprian Kizito Lwanga who has died this Easter. President Museveni and his
inner circle of security operatives have long had a beef with the outspoken
Catholic cleric and finally decided to eliminate him after he stepped up
criticism of state kidnaps, extra-judicial murders by state operatives, and
other crimes.
Just on Friday, the day before his death,
Archbishop Lwanga had led the way of the cross, from where he openly and
fearlessly launched his criticisms of state crimes, which according to our
reliable sources seriously angered First Son Muhoozi, and his father. The two
responded by sending “death merchant” Col. Asaph Nyakikuru to do the dirty
deed. The infamous Col. Nyakikuru commands a death squad of a commando unit
from SFC whose main duty is to roam all over Uganda, in “drones”, abducting
supporters of NUP, dumping them into torture dungeons, and killing thousands.
Nyakikuru, according to our source, dispatched his
most reliable killers to Lwanga’s house. Nyakikuru’s goons strangled the man of
God to death after the latter had retired home from the usual Pope Paul
Memorial Hotel evening outing.
Very strangely but also suspiciously, the SFC
immediately cordoned off the Archbishop’s residence. Obviously with prior
knowledge of the death, they acted quickly to arrange his postmortem in Mulago
Hospital, instead of Nsambya where Catholic Bishops are supposed to be treated
or receive other medical services including post mortems. Muhoozi’s SFC men
even refused anyone from touching the body of the deceased archbishop.
This was very strange indeed.
Renown for his love for evening drink ups with his
friends, especially Vice President Edward Ssekandi and Dr. Emmanuel Katongole
of Quality Chemicals Ltd, sometime back in 2015 while organizing for the Pope’s
visit, the deceased archbishop had intimated to his friends how he was a great
admirer of former prime minister Amama Mbabazi, and he was saddened by the
latter’s sacking from government, through Gen. Kale Kayihura.
When Museveni learnt of Lwanga’s reaction, he
dispatched a team that comprised of prominent Catholic clergy warning him to
back off matters to do with Mbabazi. This displeased Lwanga, to the extent that
even when Gen. Kale bought an expensive rosary in an attempt to raise resources
for the church, the archbishop never blessed it. That marked the beginning of a
major animosity with the state.
Fast forward to the Pope’s visit in 2015, which
was meant to announce Cyprian Kizito Lwanga as the new cardinal. It was never
to be. Museveni through unscrupulous priests leaked information to the Papal
Nuncio that “Kizito Lwanga had fathered children with a Muganda witch doctor in
Katosi.”
This manufactured scandal was a major blow to
Lwanga’s aspirations as he lost out completely. So he retaliated by hitting out
against government with the needed criticism, which not all the clergy can
dare.
Lwanga also spoke out ever more vocally in support
of the opposition, beginning with Kizza Besigye to Mbabazi and finally to
helping NUP secure it's victory in Buganda with active backing of the Catholic
Church for the popular Kyagulanyi and his party, something that made Museveni
incandescent with anger.
From then it was a matter of time, until Nyakikuru
was deployed to kill the man of God.
May his grace the Archbishop rest in paradise, and
forgive his killers. This was the death that YouTube personality Fred Lumbuye
had warned him not so long ago about.
He died a noble man on a holy day moreover on a
day that is holy.
