MUSEVENI IS WORSE THAN AMIN OF EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY!!
Museveni
has been regional problem for many years, this has impacted East African
community development through low rate of trade and international economic
market just because of greedy Museveni.
The
COVID-19 (corona virus) outbreak has set off the first recession in the East
Africa region in 25 years, it's good luck that this pandemic found East African
leadership in clean hands of President Paul Kagame who's head of state of Republic
of Rwanda and one of the brilliant leaders Africa has ever had.
Yes due
to deteriorating fiscal positions and increased public debt some East
governments e.g Uganda & Burundi the region do not have much room for
wiggle in deploying fiscal policy to address the COVID-19 crisis however the
region had managed to deal with this pandemic basings on skills obtained by
health workers from past epidemics (Ebola & HIV AIDS)
The EAC
leadership of President Kagame has aimed at directing the regional governments’
expenditure to increase the capacity of the health system to protect and equip
the medical personnel, and to provide adequate and affordable medical attention
to the people affected by COVID-19.
However
despite of the covid-19 outbreak East Africa has got one weevil who disturbs
the regional cooperation and development by imposing greed and primitive
leadership skills on other member states that is President Museveni of Uganda
who has been in power since 1986.
Those in
Uganda praising Museveni like his son Muhoozi Kainerugaba, To me I think
it's false dichotomy to even say that because we have a very good understanding
and experience on how Museveni is such a pathological liar with greedy
interests of stupid mankind, Museveni has failed to fight corruption in Uganda
hence giving bad image to the regional cooperation, this had blocked many
investors to join the area for global market.
I
don’t think Ugandans have thought efficiently or carefully about smart leaders
than accepting the corrupt nepotistic old man to mismanage the country up
to the level of raiding corona virus money.
Back to
the point
Museveni on
national coronavirus address said that collapse of EAC was far away since
member states accused Nyerere for wanting to take over the regional leadership,
I disagree with him 100% because the collapse was majorly initiated by Ideological differences that is Socialism Versus Capitalism
where Kenya’s economic structure on capitalist existed at independence modeled itself
on the mixed economies of Western Europe whereas Tanzania with President
Nyerere's Fabian socialism Tanzania gradually moved to a more thorough communal
system, with an overwhelming state sector plus peasant cooperatives.
Above all, the ideological differences arose from the
accidents of leadership, President Jomo Kenyatta was an earthy man with an
acquisitive nature while President Nyerere of Tanzania was an ascetic
intellectual this caused each leader to impose his personal philosophy upon his
people hence the earlier cause of collapse despite of Idi Amins factor before
Obote was so close to Nyerere.
When Museveni left Dare es salaam University he came back to
Uganda where he was employed in government of Obote 1, In 1971 Mr. Obote was
overthrown by General Amin, Obot and his officials including
Museveni were exiled and given asylum in state house Dodoma by Nyerere.
Relations between Kenya and Tanzania deteriorated with less
drama, Kenya refused to join Tanzania in condemning Mr. Amin but the basis of
hostility between them was economic, starting from a stronger position, Kenya
was able to draw greater benefit from the shared services and market
arrangements and to expand its already superior economy at a faster rate.
General Amin laid claim to large areas of western Kenya to be
part of Uganda, Kenyans, who had until then handled the Ugandan leader with
great care, even when many Kenyans working in Uganda were killed or driven from
the country, responded by demanding hard currency payments for goods and
services provided to land‐locked Uganda, whose trade all
passes through Kenya, The most drastic effect was a cut‐off of Uganda's oil supplies, Uganda in turn cut electricity
to Kenya.
President Yoweri Museveni in 1966 started plans to
attack Kenya by training rebels Kenya's President, Daniel Arap Moi, who cracked
down on a clandestine group seeking to topple his pro western government,
warned that any attempt by Uganda to send troops across the border would be met
with fierce retaliation.
Moi accused Museveni of undermining trade by imposing
restrictive measures on Kenyan goods, harassing Kenyan refugees in Busia,
meetin Ghadafi to fight Kenya among others. Museveni had been schooled in the
socialist dogma of his mentor Julius Nyerere and he had actions to show for it
by intentionally unsettling Moi.
The UN's highest judicial body ruled that Museveni by 1998-2003 intervention violated international
sovereignty and led to the killing and torture of civilians and the destruction
of villages in Dr. Congo Museveni claimed that it was self-defence and was
dismissed in a sweeping ruling and fined $10b
In 2001 Sweden froze $5.1m in aid because of Mr Museveni's behavior,
Britain, the Netherlands, Norway and Ireland also frozen some of their aids
because the pathological leader.
On issue of Sudan Garang and the
other people who perished on plane were flying in one of President Yoweri
Museveni’s personal Russian built Mi-72 helicopters he died on his way from
Uganda immediately Museveni said he perished because of rain in the area. Since
then violence broke out in the South Sudan up to now in some parts its
Murderers after Murderers after Murders.
Since revival of EAC 30th November
1999, Museveni has remained as big problem
Last year an escalation of trade spats between Kenya and
Uganda where Kenya stopped Uganda company from exporting milk proved something
over Musevenis behavior this followed Tanzania
imposing a 25% tariff on manufactured
goods entering its borders from Uganda.
In 2019 government of Rwanda advised Rwandans not to travel
to Uganda for their security, to be safe from illegal detention and by Museveni
and his army.
ALMOST ALL NEIGBORS OF UGANDA HAVE SO FAR REALIZED HOW
MUSEVENI IS WORSE TO COOPERATE WITH!
When President Kagame was elected Chairperson of the bloc last year in February, he immediately assumed his duties; meaning he already was chairing the summit in Arusha, during that very conference. On the other hand, it could also be pointed out that there were a couple of occasions during Museveni’s chairmanship, which preceded Kagame’s, when summits were called off. The reader may recall the heated exchanges in letters between Museveni and Nkurunziza regarding those postponements. “President Kagame treats his colleagues with respect and he isn’t about to start writing letters offending them,”
However will always finds means of fighting his colleagues by using poor nations like Burundi and South Sudan who kneel for him as he wishes other brilliant leaders to do.
